As the tax year ends on April 5, many UK adults are urged to review their tax allowances. According to St James's Place, nearly 25% of adults have never checked if they are maximising their benefits. Claire Trott, head of advice, said: "Reviewing your finances now can have a meaningful impact on your financial plans." Key allowances include pension contributions, ISAs, Capital Gains Tax exemptions, and inheritance tax gifting allowances. Individuals can save up to £60,000 in pensions and £20,000 in ISAs, but these allowances cannot be carried forward.
